What we aim for
We build this shop to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, the standard the European Accessibility Act refers to. As a micro-enterprise we are not bound by that act for this website, but we build to it anyway.
Where we are
This website partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA. It has not yet been checked by an independent expert, so we cannot yet say it conforms fully. What we have done:
- everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus and a link to skip to the content;
- text has enough contrast with its background, and the page can be zoomed to 200% without losing anything;
- images have a text alternative, and every page states its language;
- form fields have labels, and errors say what to fix;
- buttons and links are large enough to tap on a phone;
- animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
